Treating Your Loved Ones With Respect & Dignity, While Creating A Lasting Memorial For Your Beloved Pet.
Our Story
Family Owned For Local Service
Animal Cremation Services - Canada
We decided to open up a pet crematorium that would offer local services that would be open to the public as well as veterinary clinics. We also wanted to offer pet owners more choices by having a large selection of urns and pet cremation jewelry to choose from.
At Paws to Remember, we guarantee that your pet will be treated in a respectful and dignified manner at all times. We are committed to providing high quality services for pet owners and their much loved pets.
The Cremation Process
Informing you So you can make the right decision for you.
Cremation is the process where a pet’s remains are consumed by intense heat, reducing the body to bone fragments. These remains are allowed to cool and then placed in a processor to reduce the remains to a fine ash. The ash is then carefully placed into the selected urn and given back to the owner.
Our cremation unit is a CU-150 Thermogenic Series, which is a natural gas fired cremator. It is engineered to meet local and federal regulations for the cremation industry in Canada. Your pet will be identified by a specifically numbered steel I.D. disc which stays with your pet during the entire cremation and processing cycles. This will identify your pet so only your pet’s ashes are returned to you.
Cremation Styles
Your pet alone is placed in the cremation unit and cremated privately. An identification disk with a specific number assigned to your pet will ensure that your pet and only your pet’s ashes will be returned to you.
Your pet is gently placed in the cremation unit along with one to three other pets, but kept separately. An identification disk with a specific number assigned to each pet, as well as being processed separately, will still ensure that your own pets ashes are returned to you.
Your pet it gently placed in the cremation unit along with several other pets. After cremation, the remains are collected and gathered together and buried at the Wm Wright Memorial Pet Cemetery on St. Joseph Island. There is a sign to mark the area of where the ashes from Paws to Remember are buried. This type of cremation is for those who do not wish to have ashes returned.
